History 1994 to 2003

1997/1998

The McCall Corporate Complex was built.

Honorary Member - Jim Cuthburt and Ian Bromley.

New tractor was purchased.

1999/2000

Production Saloons were introduced.

Honorary Member - Olive McCall.

An administrator was employed and the website was arranged www.zenago.co.nz.

Teams derby was promoted.

Grader was purchased for $10,000

2001

New track surface with 900m3 of clay removed and 1790m3 of clay was re-layed.

A new roof was built for the tower.

Electronic Lap Scoring - Stage One

2002

First female President.

There were 13 set race dates and the gate charges were $12 Adult, $5 Member, $5 Children and $25 Family.

The pits were closed during racing and the armbands were introduced.

The fences and the control tower were painted

Sky TV filmed the New Zealand Modifieds.

Subscriptions were made $65 and $110 discounted if paid by the 30th of September.

2003

Concrete seating wass built along the back straight.

Youth Ministocks were introduced for youth ages 12 to 16 years.

Advertising billboard was placed on Waimea Road for the season and the www.nelsonspeedway.co.nz website was built.
